Halcyon Southtown

I love it when new places open up. It’s even more awesome when those places are within walking distance! Halcyon Southtown, pronounced hal-see-uhn, just opened up in the Blue Star Arts Complex. Yes, I had to look up the pronunciation. The theme is unique triple threat of a coffee house, bar and lounge. Check out woohoo4sa’s introduction.

What do you think? Will you be visiting Halcyon?

My Dog Kids

I often get asked…

Do you have kids?”

The answer is yes! I have two 4 -legged ones. Since my phone is filled with an almost creepy amount of dog pictures and there is a “doggie” category here, I figure I would introduce you to my 2 crazy JRTs

Toby is a 7 yr-old shortie with a wire haired coat. I got him as a puppy from a magical place I call “jack russell acres”. He has a love for climbing trees. A SERIOUS love. My husband shot this video of him doing what he does best. Click below

Roxy is a 6 yr-old jack we got on Craig’s list. Before Roxy came into the picture, Toby was getting pretty bored and acting crazy so we figured we would get him a friend. We thought it would either keep him entertained while we are at work or it would backfire and be double trouble. It worked out for the best. She did mellow him out a bit. Roxy likes to hang out on the couch looking out the window or as I call it, “dog tv” and sometimes Toby will be lazy with her. I guess he got as calm as a JRT can be. Roxy is significantly taller than Toby. Most people can’t tell them apart because of their similar markings but just remember she is the big one.

And there you have it. Meet Toby and Roxy.

Hello Blog World!

Hello world!

During the past few months, I have attended a couple of conferences for the real estate industry. The common theme has been: internet, SEO and other technological jargon that is waaayyy over my head. This has motivated me to really work on my web site. Lately, people have been coming up to me saying they enjoy my facebook and instagram posts because they like to see where I have been hanging out at and it introduces them to new places they may not normally be exposed too. I live in San Antonio’s southtown area and my husband and I are frequently out and about in the downtown area. That MUST qualify me to start blogging, right? Probably not but I’ll give it a whirl. I figure I would talk about my life shenanigans, introduce some of San Antonio’s “hidden” hangouts and include some updates about one of my passions-real estate.

I hope to share my enthusiasm for life with you. I work hard and I play hard. 🙂 I enjoy trying new places to eat (not much of a cook), a cocktail or two, and keeping up with my 2 jack russell terriers. My favorite thing to do is play tourist in beautiful San Antonio. There are so many things to see and do!

First post officially complete! I appreciate your feedback and hope you enjoy San Antonio as much as I do. There is so much more than the riverwalk!

Cheers, Sara
